InformationThe golden spike is known as the ceremonial final spike driven to join the rails of the First Transcontinental Railroad across the United States. The show starts with an optional Pre-show (1:16) with members of the band and guard working on a train track. The 1st mvt. is a musical description of the workers building the Transcontinental railroad. The 2nd mvt. features your trombone quartet in a beautiful arrangement of Shenandoah. The 3rd mvt. features individual soloists and instrument ensembles as they begin to explore the new frontier out West. Features: Solos - Flute, Alto Sax, Trumpet, and Mellophone.
