DIMENSIONS IN MUSIC
Information | Composed by Jair Klarfeld. This is an original show commissioned by the Legend HS Band (CO), Orlando Otis - director. The marching band show is about Dimensions in music - shape, rhythms, depth, and contrast. The percussion writing is by Dustin Chambers and sound design by John Kammerer. PART 1 "Shape" An opening fanfare for brass and then begins to add other instruments as it goes from small ensemble to large ensemble playing. PART 2 "Rhythms" - This movement has little features for each segment with various styles and rhythms. PART 3 "Depth" - A beautiful ballad that features a flugelhorn duet and a mellophone solo. PART 4 "Contrast" - Brings back motifs from the previous 3 movements as they are treated differently as well as at times overlapping each other. | ||
