| Information | The show is a musical description of the ancient Mayan people. It begins with Act One is the “THE GATHERING”. It portrays the gathering of the people to the great temple and the entrance of Mayan chief. Act Two portrays the everyday “LIFE IN THE VILLAGE” of the Mayans. Act Three is “PREPARE FOR WAR”. The piece is a a dance honoring “Nacon”, god of war. The show closes with Act Four, “WAR and EXODUS”. A battle scene, and then the unexplained final exodus from their homes with the Mayan priest leading them towards the sun…. and then there was darkness. Composed by Jair Klarfeld (ascap) | ||
