THESE SHOWS ARE DESIGNED FOR SMALL SCHOOL AND DEVELOPING BANDS. THE DIFFICULTY LEVEL OF THE ARRANGEMENTS ARE BETWEEN A GRADE 2 (ME) TO GRADE 3 (M).

INSTRUMENTATION IS TYPICALLY SET AS: Flu., Clar., B. Clar. (opt), A. Sx, T. Sx., B. Sx (opt) | Tpts-2, Mllo.,Trb./Bar., Tuba. Percussion varies, depending on the perc. arranger. FEUDING FAMILIES

FEUDING FAMILIES is a marching band show based on Shakespeare’s story of Romeo & Juliet. The show has four movements: 1. Families Meet 2. Romeo and Juliet Meet 3. Families Collide 4. Peace at Last. Features are: Flute solo, Bari Sax Solo. (Gr. 2.5)

HERE, THERE, EVERYWHERE is a marching band show that is based on the visual opportunities for the band to display the concept being in one place, then another, and then everywhere. There are three movements. Features are: Trumpet, Flute, A.Sax solos. (Gr. 3)

REFLECTIONS OF ROME is a marching band show that takes your audience to ancient Rome. There are three movements: The Gates of Rome, Gardens of Rome, and Rome’s Greatness. Features are: Alto Sax, Trombone, Mellophone, Trumpet, Flute, and Clarinet solo. (Gr. 3)

RE:MEMBER is a marching band show that explores the relationship of two adult women as they remember their childhood friendship when they were little kids. Features are: Trombone solo, Alto Sax solo, Flute solo, Clarinet solo. (Gr. 3)

THE FINAL LINK is a marching band show that is a musical description of the Golden Spike and the construction of the intercontinental railway. There are 3 movements. Features are: Duet – Trumpet/Tuba, Trumpet solo, A. Guitar solo, Harmonica solo. (Gr. 3)

THE SECRET OF MACHINES A marching band show that is about how humans are apprehensive of machines taking over their lives. TWISTER – THE GAME is a marching band show that can use the visual elements of the twister game, along with the choreography. There are four movements: Blue, Green, Yellow, and Red. Features are: Clarinet solo, Euphonium solo, and Mello. & Euph. duet. (Gr. 3)

ANCIENT TRAVELERS

Earth is home to some of the most spectacular relics from bygone eras. The constructions defy the technological capabilities of their time. The question is still asked – were these built by ancient travelers from other worlds? Part 1 “Nazca Lines”, Part 2 – “Stonehenge”; Part 3 “Pyramids of Gaza.” Features are: Mellophone and trumpet solos.

ASGARD

In Norse mythology, Asgard is the dwelling place of the gods. Greek’s Mount Olympus. The show is about the 4 most well known Norse gods. Part 1 – “Odin”, Part 2 – “Freya”, Part 3 “Thor and Loki.” – Features are: Duet- flute/clarinet,  and a fun section in part 3 as the characters try to one up each other musically. Your audience will enjoy performing this show. (Gr. 2.5)

THE LOST CIVILIZATION takes your audience into the deep jungles as they search for treasures. there are 3 segments” Part 1 “Pyramid of Kukulkhan.”  Part 2 – Chac – God of Rain. Part 3 “Chaos/Vanish.” Features are:  Duet-mllo/tpt, and flute solos. (Gr. 2.5)

THE EYE OF RA

THE EYE OF RA – Known as the Sun God, Ra was a powerful deity and a central god of the Egyptian pantheon. With the symbols and vivid colors associated with Ra, your visual program will have endless options to take your audience back to Ancient Egypt. Features are: Flute and Trumpet solos. (Gr. 3)

AFRIKA

This is an original work for marching band. Afrika is the second largest continent in both land area and population. With many climates, this show creates a musical description of what we know as “Afrika.” Part 1 – “Sahara Desert”, Part 2 “Serengeti Plains”, Part 3 – “Mt. A.I./Artificial Intelligence – Once a fictitious idea found only in science fiction books or movies, this show becomes a reality. The options of what storyline you wish to use, as well as the visual options are endless. Features are: Trumpet solo.  (Gr. 2.5)

THE TICKTOCK MAN

The title of the show comes from one of my favorite stories – ‘‘Repent, Harlequin!’ Said the Ticktockman’’ It is the story of a future world, controlled by a tight schedule and the ticking of a clock. Features are: flute and trumpet solos. (Gr. 2)

BUGEISHA is a marching band show about Tomoe Gozen, the greatest female samurai warrior. The three segments are: Part 1 – “Training:, Part 2 –  “A Mother’s Love”, and Part 3 – “Battle of Aizu”. Features are: flute solo and your percussion.  (Gr. 2.5)

AT FIRST SIGHT

Shortened from the well known phrase “Love At First Sight”. This Spanish show is a musical description of how love comes around. The movements are: 1. DESEO (desire) features your flute soloist. 2. Anticipar (anticipation) features your alto sax soloist. 3. Amor (love). features your trombone soloist and percussion section. (Gr. 3)

MAINSPRING

MAINSPRING is marching band show based on the steampunk genre. This show allows you to introduce your to different components to your audience. Part 1 – “Gears”, Part 2 – “Springs”, and Part 3 – “buttons.” At the end of the show you bring all three components together to create a Jules Verne-like machine. Features are: Flute and Trumpet solos.  (Gr. 2)

THE TIME TRAVELER

THE TIME TRAVELER is a marching band show that allows for countless visual options. PART 1 “Traveling Back In Time” uses multiple time signatures that makes the music sound more difficult than it really is. PART 2 “What The Future May Hold” features your mellophone soloist. PART 3 “Return Home To The Present” again uses multiple time signatures as it brings back our Time Traveler. (Gr. 2.5)

PORTRAIT OF DORIAN GRAY

Inspired by the music: Mussourgsky’s Pictures At An Exhibition,, PD IN THE USA with original music by Jair Klarfeld and Bret Kuhn. This show has an opening Trumpet solo, and then explores all the colors of the brass, woodwinds, and percussion sections as you tell the story of Dorian Gray. Your audiences and judges will be entertained by the musical and potential visual opportunities that this show will bring. (Gr. 2)

Inspired by the wonderful Pirates of Caribbean soundtrack, “Walk the Plank” was written for a younger band who is looking for a unique “pirate” show. The show offers several emotions and will feature some of your better playing students in soloistic situations. This show is a proven contest winner. (Gr. 2)

SPIRIT OF NEW ORLEANS – This marching band show will transport your students and audience to the great city of New Orleans. The spirit of New Orleans people and their culture are as strong as ever, as you will hear parades marching down Bourbon Street, to dixieland music at the Mardi Gras. (Gr. 2.5)

RIO

RIO – When one thinks of Rio they think of the vivid colors, wonderful dance forms, and the exciting rhythms of Brazilian music. The show starts with a tribute to Rio’s famous “Carnival”. The 2nd segment is a popular dance form in Rio called “El Copacabana Tango”, featuring a mellophone solo. The 3rd segment is “Arena”. This feature’s your trumpet soloist with our arrangement of “La Virgen De La Macarena”. (Gr. 2)

PICTURES AT AN EXHIBITION

PICTURES AT AN EXHIBITION – This popular show has been performed countless times as it brings the sounds of the majestic brass and flash of the woodwinds. The show many visual opportunities. You can have frames on the field as if at a gallery, or various pictures on easels with the colorguard members as artists with large paint brushes with bright colors painting the different artwork.  (Gr. 2)

VISION QUEST is a marching band show about a young girl going on a vision quest. Her Native American grandfather gives her advice in hopes that she may face the four winds and walk the good road to the day of quiet. This show is inspired by a poem by Diana Rosser. SCHEHERAZADE I

SCHEHERAZADE 1- or The 1001 Arabian Nights is a cornucopia of storytelling – as the young Scheherazade tries to stave off nightly threats of execution by telling a story so enticing that her husband desires to hear the end of the story.
